As of July 2023, multiple news outlets report that the U.S. Department of State is experiencing significantly increased processing times for passport applications. The minimum processing time is now 13 weeks, but many applications take longer.

All students planning to go abroad must secure their new passport with enough time to apply for visas for your program country.
