All students planning to study in or travel through the United Kingdom in the new year should be aware that the UK has introduced a new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system. Starting January 8, 2025 travelers from certain countries, including the U.S. and Canada, will be required to obtain an ETA before entering or transiting through the UK. This is a mandatory process, so please ensure you check your eligibility and complete the application before your departure.

The U.S. Department of State has suspended new passport applications requesting an "X" sex marker, or applications seeking to change a sex marker on an existing passport.  Existing passports with an X marker will remain valid for travel until their expiration date.
